Eva Kerins is a burgeoning writer pursuing a career in literary publishing and international journalism. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in English at University of California, Berkeley, with special emphasis in postcolonial world literature, journalism, and classical studies. Her work has been recognized in Matchbox Magazine and You Might Need to Hear This Literary Magazine. She has received the SURF Fellowship Award at UC Berkeley, recognition in the Dickinson Critical Institute for the Emily Dickinson International Society (EDIS), and been shortlisted for the Bridport Short Story Award. Her research article on volcanoes, Emily Dickinson, and Anne Carson was awarded the Undergraduate Research Award for  EDIS. Through her literary pursuits, she has received opportunities to study in Barcelona, Rome, Crete, London, and Madrid. She now enjoys employment as the Publicity Assistant for the Avid Reader Press imprint of Simon & Schuster. Some of her notable work includes copyediting various articles for The Dial literary magazine, conducting in-depth interviews with international authors, and providing promotion and publicity assistance to critically acclaimed books. In her free time, she enjoys creating oil pastel portraits, spending time in the sun, and developing extensive Spotify playlists.
